In keeping with our mission to prepare you for what to expect from Operation Flashpoint: Red River, we’ve just released this 57 page PDF advanced training manual. The manual aims to build on what you’ve learnt so far to ensure you and your fireteam succeed and overcome any adversity or situation you’re placed in. You will discover the best ways to develop your character, what weapons are suited to each environment as well as and how to fully utilize other features in order to fully support your unit and fireteam.

This video below is the 1st in a series of advanced training tutorial videos designed to introduce players to some of Red River’s unique features, as well as showing how effectively commanding your fireteam is vital to your success.

If you are new to Operation Flashpoint and Tactical Shooters in general, then this series of videos will be a great help in preparing you to be effective on the battlefields of Tajikistan.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River delivers an authentic experience placing the player in the boots of a United States marine on the frontline in Tajikistan. Throughout the campaign, players will encounter a range of opposition armed with some powerful weapons. In the final part of this series we look at the weapons carried by the USMC which the player will use against the Insurgents and PLA.

This USMC pistol officially designated as M45 has a fast semi-automatic rate of fire and is excellent in a close quarters battle (CQB) situations. Quick to reload, it is small, light and very easy to manoeuvre in tight, confined locations where speed is vital. Custom-built by the USMC’s Precision Weapons Shop, the M45 is unique to the USMC and is designed specifically for engagements a Marine might find themselves in.
